The banana shakes are amazing! Good prices for some good food. Wish they were closer, but it's always a treat driving out this way for a shake and a dog. Staff is very friendly. It's small, so don't expect to sit down and have dinner, but it's great for grabbing and going. I even had the girlfriend force me to drive out this way just to get a banana shake... and she's not pregnant. Seriously. Get out here and try em if you haven't!

Jr's is a pretty decent hot dog joint. As Vince's review says, they are not Vienna, but they get the job done. They have pretty good meal deals, so you definitely won't get ripped off. I love any hot dog that comes on a poppy bun. You can get the hot dog any way you want, even with ketchup (blasphemy!). The fries are good, but not great. They have some seating outside, so it's a nice place to come during warm weather for a quick bite.

Just to clarify the information posted in the other reviews - this place does not have a drive-thru nor do they serve their hot dogs on a poppy-seed bun (at least not today). That being said, their all beef dogs are ok, but nothing better than what I can throw together at home. Actually, I prefer the relish I use compared to theirs so I guess my hot dogs ARE better. ;) Their fries are actually really good and would be perfect if served a bit saltier. Overall I think Jr's is a nice place with friendly people, it's just nothing I'd go out of my way for. I think people come back because it reminds them of their childhood since they've been around a long time.

Um, YESSS!!! Jr's is the place for hotdogs in this area. You can get the regular with all the Chicago fixings and they are greattt OR if you like chili cheese dogs.. This is the place to go! Ive been trying chili chz dogs at every nearby location.. and hands down, none compares to Jr's..... They are to die for!!!!! We also tried the jr-itos but with nacho chips... Everything was yummy yummy and definitely worth the money.

Today. Not so great. While out on a bike ride a long way from home I stopped at the Oak Lawn franchise. There was a palpable odor that would have driven me out the door if I were driving. The lot was littered and there was VERY demanding gull that screeched and harassed me the entire time I was eating. The gull can only mean that the grounds are littered with scraps routinely. The teenage staff was nice, but a little slow. They did up my ordered small drink to a medium to compensate. The Crispy Chicken was pretty good, but I would stick with the dogs and Jr-ito next time (if it gets cleaned up). Love Jr.s everywhere, but the Oak Lawn shop needs a reset.

I've been eating at juniors since I was a kid. Whether its this location or in Orland, the hot dogs are always the same- delicious. Make sure to get cheese for your fries too!

Going to a Hot Dog place, I like to expect a good/quick dog. There was one other person in there while I was in there, and from the size of their bag it was not a big order. However, I still ended up waiting about ten minutes for two hot dogs. The dogs themselves were pretty decent, nothing spectacular, the bun was a little stale too.

Been around for years, great hotdogs and food. Clean, fast, friendly service. The hotdogs and other menu items are great.

Love this place. Great fast service for lunch. Great milk shakes, great service. Very greasy food so if health is a concern this may not be the right place for you.

About a month ago my boyfriend and I made the trip to Jr's because we really love their cheese dogs and jrito. Unfortunately, we got home only to discover the cheese on all of our hotdogs and cheese inside the jrito was more water than cheese. The bun was soggy from the "cheese water" and very gross, it was overall very disappointing. We decided that it was likely one bad experience and went back this afternoon. Once again, get home and the exact same scenario had repeated itself. Very upsetting given that it's quite a drive for some hotdogs and jritos and that between the two of us we easily spend $25-$35 a visit. I see that you do not have a web page, official Facebook page or email in which I could have privately written to you so I had to take to Yelp. I really hope someone from this establishment cares enough to contact me in regards to this matter as opposed to losing long time customers. Thank you for your time.

Bacon ranch chicken sandwich was pretty much flavorless. Chicken was not that great and the cheese wasn't melted. Cheese sticks were decent. Milk shake was pretty good.

Jr's has been the hot dog place I've grown up with. Whenever my mother could, she'd take me out here for a great hot dog. I absolutely love it. In my mind, it is the perfect hot dog. That is my opinion though. So if you like grill marks or heavily charred dogs, JR's might not be for you. These aren't vienna beef dogs, but they do offer the option for an all beef dog. The dogs are boiled to perfection and then you can get whatever you want on them. You can get them Chicago style or covered in chili and cheese. They also have lots of other items on the menus if hotdogs aren't your thing. Meatball sandwichs, chicken sandwiches, pizza puffs, etc, etc. They also have a thing called a Jr-ito which is fantastic. Chili with whatever you want in it with cracked yellow corn chips. Sodium count skyrockets. Seating is small, and there is a drive thru. There are benches outside as well. I generally visit this location and the one on 79th street. Both are great. Unfortunately, it takes me about 30 minutes to get here, but it is always worth it. I usually end up spending at least $20 to gorge myself and walk out in a food coma. 2 x super chili cheese dogs, medium fry, medium drink, 1 regular dog (for the road), and a large banana strawberry shake. I should be ashamed right? WRONG!

Been having the Jr's craving for a few months now and finally found time to stop in! I don't know what type of hot dogs they have but they are awesome! The fries are really good and you must get a Jr-ito!! It's a combo of chilli and doritos. The only unfortunate thing about this place is that they only have seating for like 6 inside and then a couple of tables outside!
